Patricia, Thanks for your comments. It actually seems like your workplace is like many others -- simply making an attempt to cope with it on a case-by-case basis. For the second, in France, people don't appear able to hug at work. And I imagine that's for one of the best. Hugging is for relatives and friends, and has, in my view, nothing to do with work relationships. Maybe it is as a result of I need to maintain a long way between me and coworkers, however I actually consider it's higher to not cross too much traces in a piece setting.
